Living for God’s Glory

(1 Corinthians 10:23–33)

Therefore, since Christ suffered 1in His body, arm yourselves with the same resolve, because anyone who has suffered in his body is done with sin. Gal 5:241Pe 3:18Col 3:3-5Rom 6:11Gal 2:20Rom 6:7Eph 6:13Heb 12:3 Consequently, he does not live out his remaining time on earth for human passions, but for the will of God. Eph 4:22-241Pe 1:14Eph 6:6Rom 6:11Tit 3:3-82Co 5:15Rom 6:2Eph 2:3 For you have spent enough time in the past carrying out the same desires as the Gentiles: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and detestable idolatry. 1Co 6:11Eph 5:181Th 4:51Pe 1:14Eph 2:2-3Eph 4:17-19Gal 5:21Ezk 45:9

Because of this, they consider it strange of you not to plunge with them into the same flood of reckless indiscretion, and they heap abuse on you. 1Pe 3:161Pe 2:12Act 18:6Jud 1:10Act 13:452Pe 2:122Pe 2:22Luk 15:13 But they will have to give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray. Suffering as Christians

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you. 2Ti 3:121Pe 1:6-71Pe 5:91Th 3:2-4Dan 11:351Co 10:131Co 3:131Pe 4:4 But rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory. So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should entrust their souls to their faithful Creator and continue to do good. Psa 37:52Ti 1:121Pe 3:17Psa 138:8Psa 146:5-61Pe 4:12-16Psa 31:5Rom 2:7
