The Lord’s Approved Workman
Remind the believers of these things, charging them before God 1to avoid quarreling over words, which succeeds only in leading the listeners to ruin. Tit 3:9-112Ti 2:232Ti 4:1Rom 14:11Ti 5:211Ti 6:4-5Heb 13:9Act 15:24
Make every effort to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman who accurately handles the word of truth. 1Th 2:42Pe 1:101Ti 4:62Co 10:182Co 5:91Ti 4:12-16Gal 1:102Pe 3:14
But avoid irreverent, empty chatter, which will only lead to more ungodliness, Tit 3:91Ti 6:202Ti 2:142Th 2:7-8Tit 1:14Hos 12:11Ti 4:7Ezr 10:10 and the talk of such men will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 1Ti 1:20Nam 3:15Jas 5:3 who have deviated from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already occurred, and they undermine the faith of some. 1Co 15:121Ti 1:19Heb 3:101Co 11:191Jn 2:191Ti 6:101Ti 6:212Ti 2:14
Nevertheless, God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” 2 and, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord must turn away from iniquity.” Jhn 10:141Co 8:3Nam 1:71Jn 3:7-10Num 16:5Jhn 10:27-30Luk 13:27Col 3:5-8
