Gaius Commended for Hospitality
Beloved, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, and especially since they are strangers to you. Gal 6:10Col 3:17Luk 12:42Luk 16:10-122Co 4:1-3Mat 24:451Pe 4:10-11 They have testified to the church about your love. Diotrephes and Demetrius
I have written to the church about this, 1 but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will not accept our instruction. Tit 1:7-16Luk 22:24-27Luk 9:48Mat 23:4-8Mat 10:40-42Mrk 9:34Php 2:3-5Rom 12:10 So if I come, I will call attention to his malicious slander against us. And unsatisfied with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers and forbids those who want to do so, even putting them out of the church. Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God. Isa 1:16-17Psa 37:27Eph 5:11Pe 3:111Pe 3:13Jhn 3:20Psa 34:141Jn 3:6-9
Demetrius has received a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself. We also testify for him, and you know that our testimony is true. 1Ti 3:7Jhn 21:24Act 10:22Act 22:12Jhn 19:351Th 4:12
