The Glory of the LORD Returns to the Temple
Then the man brought me back to the gate that faces east, Ezk 42:15Ezk 44:1Ezk 40:6Ezk 46:1Ezk 10:19Ezk 43:4 and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the roar of many waters, and the earth shone with His glory. Rev 18:1Ezk 11:23Isa 6:3Ezk 10:18-19Rev 1:15Rev 14:2Ezk 1:28Ezk 10:4
The vision I saw was like the vision I had seen when He came 1to destroy the city and like the visions I had seen by the River Kebar. While the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speaking to me from inside the temple, Ezk 40:3Isa 66:6Lev 1:1Rev 16:1 and He said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place for the soles of My feet, where I will dwell among the Israelites forever. The house of Israel will never again defile My holy name—neither they nor their kings—by their prostitution and by the funeral offerings 2for their kings at their deaths. 3 Ezk 43:9Psa 47:8Lev 26:301Ch 28:2Ezk 1:26Ezk 20:39Psa 99:1Rev 22:3 When they placed their threshold next to My threshold and their doorposts beside My doorposts, with only a wall between Me and them, they defiled My holy name by the abominations they committed. As for you, son of man, describe the temple to the people of Israel, so that they may be ashamed of their iniquities. Let them measure the plan, Ezk 40:4Ezk 16:61Ezk 16:63Ezk 43:111Ch 28:111Ch 28:19Exo 25:40Ezk 23:31-32 and if they are ashamed 4of all they have done, then make known to them the design of the temple—its arrangement and its exits and entrances—its whole design along with all its statutes, forms, and laws. Write it down in their sight, so that they may keep its complete design and all its statutes and may carry them out. Ezk 11:20Ezk 36:271Co 11:2Ezk 12:3Ezk 40:1-42Ezk 44:5-6Heb 8:5Jhn 13:17
