Job: Judgment for the Wicked
“Why does the Almighty not reserve times for judgment? Act 1:7Ecc 3:172Pe 3:7-8Ecc 8:6-7Mat 24:38Psa 36:10Psa 73:16-191Ti 4:1
Why may those who know Him never see His days?
Men move boundary stones; Deu 19:14Deu 27:17Pro 23:10Pro 22:28Hos 5:10Job 1:15Job 1:17Job 5:5
they pasture stolen flocks.
They drive away the donkey of the fatherless Deu 24:61Sa 12:3Deu 24:10-13Deu 24:17-21Job 22:6-9Job 31:16-17
and take the widow’s ox in pledge.
They push the needy off the road Pro 28:28Job 24:14Amo 2:7Ezk 22:29Amo 8:4-6Ezk 18:12Ezk 18:18Isa 10:2
and force all the poor of the land into hiding.
Indeed, like wild donkeys in the desert, Job 39:5-7Job 5:5Mic 2:1Psa 104:23Act 23:12Gen 16:12Gen 27:40Hos 7:6
the poor go to work foraging for food;
the wasteland is food for their children.
They gather fodder in the fields Mic 6:15Deu 28:33Deu 28:51Jdg 6:3-6
and glean the vineyards of the wicked.
Without clothing, they spend the night naked; Exo 22:26-27Job 22:6Deu 24:11-13Act 9:31Gen 31:40Isa 58:7Job 24:10Job 31:19-20
they have no covering against the cold.
Drenched by mountain rains, Lam 4:5Heb 11:38Sng 5:2
they huddle against the rocks for want of shelter.
The fatherless infant is snatched from the breast; Neh 5:52Ki 4:1
the nursing child of the poor is seized for a debt.
Without clothing, they wander about naked. Amo 2:7-8Amo 5:11-12Deu 24:19
They carry the sheaves, but still go hungry.
They crush olives within their walls; Jas 5:4Jer 22:13Deu 25:4
they tread the winepresses, but go thirsty.

and the souls of the wounded cry out,
yet God charges no one with wrongdoing.
Then there are those who rebel against the light, Jhn 3:19-20Pro 4:19Jud 1:62Th 2:10-121Jn 2:192Pe 2:20-22Jhn 9:39-41Jas 4:17
not knowing its ways or staying on its paths.
When daylight is gone, the murderer rises 1Th 5:2Mic 2:1-2Psa 10:8-10Rev 3:32Sa 11:14-17Eph 5:7-11Luk 12:39
to kill the poor and needy;
in the night he is like a thief.

In the dark they dig through houses; Jhn 3:20Eph 5:11-13Exo 22:2-3Ezk 12:12Ezk 12:5-7Job 24:13Job 38:12-13Mat 24:43
by day they shut themselves in,
never to experience the light.
For to them, deep darkness is their morning; Job 3:52Co 5:10-11Jer 2:26Psa 73:18-19Rev 6:16-17
surely they are friends with the terrors of darkness!
They are but foam on the surface of the water; Deu 28:16-20Isa 23:10Job 22:16Job 9:26Mal 2:2Pro 3:33Psa 58:7Psa 69:22
their portion of the land is cursed,
so that no one turns toward their vineyards.
As drought and heat consume the melting snow, Psa 49:14Job 21:13Luk 16:22Pro 14:32Ecc 9:4-6Luk 12:20Psa 68:2Job 21:23
so Sheol steals those who have sinned.
The womb forgets them; Pro 10:7Dan 4:14Job 18:16-17Ecc 8:10Isa 26:14Job 14:7-10Job 17:14Job 19:26
the worm feeds on them;
they are remembered no more.
So injustice is like a broken tree.
They prey on the barren and childless, 1Sa 1:6-7Job 22:9Job 29:13Job 24:3Job 31:16-18
and show no kindness to the widow.
Yet by His power, God drags away the mighty; Dan 6:4-9Est 3:8-10Jhn 19:12-16Rev 16:13-14Rev 17:2
though rising up, they have no assurance of life.
He gives them a sense of security, Pro 15:31Th 5:3Rev 2:23Amo 8:7Amo 9:2Ecc 5:8Ecc 8:11Hab 1:13
but His eyes are on their ways.

then they are gone;
they are brought low and gathered up like all others;
they are cut off like heads of grain.
If this is not so, then who can prove me a liar Job 9:24Job 11:2-3Job 27:4Job 6:28Job 15:2
and reduce my words to nothing?”
