The Pilgrimage of the Magi
(Micah 5:1–6)
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, Mic 5:2Jhn 7:42Luk 2:4-7Luk 2:11Psa 72:9-12Isa 11:10Gen 49:10Hag 2:6-9 asking, “Where is the One who has been born King of the Jews? When King Herod heard this, he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: Jhn 7:42Rut 1:11Sa 16:1Rut 2:4Jos 19:15Rut 1:19Rut 4:11Gen 35:19

Then Herod called the Magi secretly and learned from them the exact time the star had appeared. 1Sa 18:21Exo 1:10Isa 7:5-7Psa 55:21Psa 64:4-6Psa 83:3-4Ezk 38:10-11Psa 10:9-10 And sending them to Bethlehem, he said: “Go and search carefully for the Child, and when you find Him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him.” 1Co 3:19-20Jer 41:5-7Luk 20:20-211Ki 19:21Sa 23:22-232Ki 10:18-192Sa 17:14Ezr 4:1-2

The Flight to Egypt
(Hosea 11:1–7)
When the Magi had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up!” he said. “Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the Child to kill Him.” Act 10:7Act 12:11Act 5:19Exo 1:22Mat 1:20Mat 2:12Job 33:15Mat 2:16
So he got up, took the Child and His mother by night, and withdrew to Egypt, Act 26:21Mat 2:20-21Mat 1:24 where he stayed until the death of Herod. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called My Son.” 3 Hos 11:1Exo 4:22Num 24:8Luk 24:44Mat 1:22Act 12:1-4Mat 12:16-18Mat 2:17
Weeping and Great Mourning
(Jeremiah 31:1–25)
When Herod saw that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was filled with rage. Sending orders, he put to death all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, according to the time he had learned from the Magi. Isa 59:7Pro 28:15Rev 17:62Ki 8:12Dan 3:13Dan 3:19-20Gen 49:7Hos 10:14 Then what was spoken through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled:
