Babylon Is Fallen
(Isaiah 21:1–10)
After this I saw another angel descending from heaven with great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his glory. Ezk 43:2Luk 17:242Th 2:8Isa 60:1-3Rev 10:1Rev 17:1Rev 21:23Rev 17:7 And he cried out in a mighty voice: Jer 51:8Rev 14:8Jer 51:37Jer 50:39-40Jer 51:60-64Isa 13:19-22Isa 21:8-9Rev 16:19
“Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! 1
She has become a lair for demons
and a haunt for every unclean spirit,
every unclean bird,
and every detestable beast. 2
All the nations have drunk 3the wine Rev 14:8Rev 17:2Rev 18:9Jer 51:7Rev 18:232Pe 2:1-3Lam 4:5Rev 18:11-17
of the passion of her immorality.
The kings of the earth were immoral with her,
and the merchants of the earth have grown wealthy
from the extravagance of her luxury.”
Then I heard another voice from heaven say: 2Co 6:17Isa 52:11Jer 51:6Jer 51:45Jer 50:8Isa 48:201Ti 5:222Jn 1:11
“Come out of her, My people, 4

or contract any of her plagues.
For her sins are piled up to heaven, Ezr 9:6Gen 18:20-21Jer 51:9Rev 16:19Jon 1:22Ch 28:9

In her heart she says, ‘I sit as queen;
I am not a widow and will never see grief.’

death and grief and famine—
and she will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.”
Lament over Babylon
Then the kings of the earth who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her will weep and wail at the sight of the smoke rising from the fire that consumes her. 5 Rev 18:3Rev 19:3Rev 17:2Rev 18:18Ezk 26:16-17Rev 14:11Rev 18:20Gen 19:28 In fear of her torment, they will stand at a distance and cry out: Rev 18:19Rev 18:8Rev 18:15-17Rev 14:8Amo 5:16Jol 1:15Jer 30:7Jer 51:8-9

The Doom of Babylon
Then a mighty angel picked up a stone the size of a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying: Jer 51:63-64Ezk 26:21Rev 5:2Dan 11:19Job 20:8Rev 12:8Rev 16:20Rev 18:22
“With such violence
the great city of Babylon will be cast down,
never to be seen again.
And the sound of harpists and musicians, Ezk 26:13Jer 25:10Jer 16:9Jer 7:34Isa 24:8-9Ecc 12:4Jer 33:11
of flute players and trumpeters,
will never ring out in you again.
Nor will any craftsmen of any trade
be found in you again,
nor the sound of a millstone
be heard in you again.

and the voices of a bride and bridegroom

because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.”
And there was found in her the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who had been slain on the earth. Rev 17:6Rev 16:6Jer 51:49Act 7:52Rev 19:2Mat 23:27Dan 7:21Mat 23:35
