Amethyst
Amethyst is a transparent purple or violet stone. It is a form of quartz made from silicon and oxygen. People use it to make jewelry.
Amethyst was one of the stones on the high priest’s breastpiece (Exodus 28:19; 39:12). It is also part of the symbolic foundation of the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:20).
