Berechiah

Son of Zerubbabel and descendant of King David (1 Chronicles 3:20).

A Levite from the family of Gershon. He was the father of Asaph (1 Chronicles 6:39; 15:17). Asaph was a famous musician of Israel.

The son of Asa. He was the head of a family of Levites who returned to Judah after the exile in Babylon (1 Chronicles 9:16).

A Levite who King David assigned as a gatekeeper for the ark of the covenant (1 Chronicles 15:23).

The son of Meshillemoth, a leader of the tribe of Ephraim. He was one of three men in Samaria who supported the prophet Obed in sending prisoners of war back to their homes in Judah (2 Chronicles 28:12).

The father of Meshullam. Meshullam told Nehemiah, the governor, to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 3:4, 30; 6:18).

The son of Iddo and father of Zechariah the prophet (Zechariah 1:1, 7).
