Beryl

Beryl is a hard, shiny mineral that can have several colors. It is made of silicon, aluminum, and other elements. It is often green, but it can also be blue, white, or golden. Some beryl is not transparent, while other beryl is clear. Emerald and aquamarine are transparent forms of beryl.

Beryl was one of the stones on the high priest’s breastpiece (Exodus 28:20; 39:13). It is also mentioned in descriptions of the appearance of a heavenly figure in Daniel’s vision and the foundations of the New Jerusalem (Song of Solomon 5:14; Daniel 10:6; Revelation 21:20).
