Beth-haram, Beth-haran

Beth-haram was given to the tribe of Gad when the land of Canaan was divided among the tribes (Joshua 13:27). The people fortified the town and used it as a place for their sheep (Numbers 32:36).

It was probably the same place as Beth-aramphtha, a city mentioned by the Jewish historian Josephus.
