Cabul

A town in Asher, near Mount Carmel on the border between Israel and Tyre (Joshua 19:27).

The territory that Solomon gave Hiram, king of Tyre. In return, Hiram gave 120 talents (about four metric tons or 9,000 pounds) of gold to complete the temple. Hiram was not impressed with this northern Galilean province (1 Kings 9:13–14). He later returned it to Solomon (2 Chronicles 8:2).
