Casiphia

Casiphia was the place where Ezra sent leaders to find Levites for temple service. He had realized that none of the returning exiles in his group were qualified for this work (Ezra 8:17). Casiphia may have been Ctesiphon, a city on the Tigris River near modern Baghdad.
