Curtains

Curtains are large pieces of woven cloth used in homes, sacred buildings, and tents. People use them to divide rooms, cover entrances, or provide privacy.

The tabernacle used several sets of curtains. Some formed its walls and roof, while others separated its sacred areas. A special curtain divided the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place, where the ark of the covenant was kept.

The temple also had a curtain that separated the Most Holy Place from the rest of the building.
