Diamond
Diamond is a very hard precious stone. Modern diamonds are usually clear and are made of crystallized carbon.
The exact identity of the stone called “diamond” in some Bible translations is uncertain. The word may describe the stone’s hardness rather than identify it as a modern diamond (Exodus 28:18; 39:11; Ezekiel 28:13). In Jeremiah 17:1, the word translated as "diamond" may refer to corundum, another very hard mineral.
