Diviners’ Oak

The Diviners’ Oak was a place near Shechem (Judges 9:37). Its name may show that people who practiced divination, or tried to discover hidden knowledge through spiritual means, gathered there.

The King James Version mistakenly calls this place “the plain of Meonenim.”
