Grain was an important food in the ancient world. People grew crops such as barley, millet, spelt, and wheat. They harvested the grain, separated it from the stalks, and ground it into flour. They used the flour to make bread and other foods.
The Bible often mentions grain as a sign of food, wealth, and God’s provision. People also gave grain as an offering to God.
