Hachmonite

Hachmonite was a title used for Jashobeam, one of King David’s leading warriors (1 Chronicles 11:11). In 2 Samuel 23:8, he is called Josheb-basshebeth and also described as a Tahchemonite. The word “Tahchemonite” may be the result of an error in copying the Hebrew text.
