Hazazon-tamar
Hazazon-tamar was a city identified with En-gedi in 2 Chronicles 20:2. In the time of Abraham, Amorites lived there. Chedorlaomer and other kings from the east defeated them as they passed through the region (Genesis 14:7).
Some scholars have suggested that Hazazon-tamar was the same place as Tamar, a city that Solomon fortified (1 Kings 9:18). Ezekiel places Tamar near the southeastern border of Israel (Ezekiel 47:18–19; 48:28). The modern name Wadi Hasasa may preserve the name of the ancient site.
