Horonaim

Horonaim was a settlement in Moab. Its exact location is unknown. The prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah mentioned it in messages of judgment against Moab (Isaiah 15:5; Jeremiah 48:3–5, 34). It later came under the control of the Hasmonean king Alexander Janneus. Afterward, John Hyrcanus returned it to Aretas, the Nabataean king. (Josephus’s Antiquities 13.15.4; 14.1.4).
