Jachin

The son of Simeon and leader of the Jachinites, who moved to Egypt with his grandfather Jacob (Genesis 46:10; Exodus 6:15; Numbers 26:12). He is called Jarib in 1 Chronicles 4:24.

A priest who lived in Jerusalem after the exile to Babylon (1 Chronicles 9:10; Nehemiah 11:10). The name Jachin may possibly refer to a family of priests that Jachin led.

A descendant of Aaron who led the twenty-first division of priests who served in the temple during King David's time (1 Chronicles 24:17).
