Kitchen
A kitchen is a place where food is prepared and cooked. The Bible rarely mentions kitchens directly. In Bible times, most homes did not have a separate kitchen room. People usually cooked in the courtyard of the house, over a fire or in a clay oven.
Ezekiel 46:24 describes special cooking areas in the temple that Ezekiel saw in a vision. There the priests would boil the offerings of the people. Some Bible translations call these areas "kitchens."
