Laying on of Hands

Laying on of hands was the act of placing one or both hands on a person. In the Bible, this action could express blessing, healing, the giving of authority, or setting someone apart for a special task (Genesis 48:14–20; Mark 6:5; Acts 6:6; 1 Timothy 4:14).
