Meat is the flesh of animals used for food. In the Bible, people ate meat from animals, birds, and fish. Meat was often served at special meals, feasts, and sacrifices, but it was not an everyday food for many people.
In the King James Version, the word “meat” usually means food of any kind, not just animal flesh. For example, the "meat offering" was an offering of grain, not meat (Leviticus 2:1).
