Mehetabel

A daughter of Matred and the wife of King Hadar of Edom in pre-Israelite times (Genesis 36:39; 1 Chronicles 1:50).

The grandfather of Shemaiah. Tobiah and Sanballat hired Shemaiah to discredit Nehemiah by frightening him into fleeing into the temple (Nehemiah 6:10).
