Milk
Milk was an important food in Bible times. It came mainly from goats, sheep, and cows and was used as a drink and to make other foods such as curds, butter, and cheese (Genesis 18:8; Deuteronomy 32:14; Proverbs 27:27). The Bible also uses milk as a picture of God's blessing, abundance, and spiritual nourishment (Exodus 3:8; 1 Peter 2:2).
