Narcissus (Plant)
A fragrant plant growing on the plains of Sharon in abundance. It also grows in other parts of Palestine. It is has narrow leaves and usually white or yellow flowers. The flowers have a cup-shaped or trumpet-shaped crown. Because of its sweet fragrance, many people cultivate and enjoy this plant.
The polyanthus narcissus (Narcissus tazetta) appears to be the plant mentioned in Isaiah 35:1 ("rose" in the Berean Standard Bible).
