The King James Version term for “mina,” a weight equal to one pound or half a kilogram (1 Kings 10:17; Ezra 2:69; Nehemiah 7:71–72).

A Greek coin (mina) equal to about three month’s wages (Luke 19:13).
A Roman measure (litra in Greek) equal to about 12 ounces, or .3 kilogram (three-quarters of a pound). It is only mentioned in John 12:3 and 19:39.
