இதோ, தேவன் எங்கள் சேனாபதியாக எங்களோடு இருக்கிறார்; உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாகப் பூரிகைகளைப் பெருந்தொனியாக முழக்குகிற ஆசாரியர்களும் இருக்கிறார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரே, உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாக போர்செய்யாதீர்கள்; செய்தால் உங்களுக்கு வெற்றி கிடைக்காது என்றான்.

Now behold, God Himself is with us as our head, and His priests with their trumpets sound the battle call against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the LORD, the God of your fathers, for you will not succeed.”
