அப்பொழுது தேவனுடைய ஆவி ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தாவின் மகனான சகரியாவின்மேல் இறங்கினதால், அவன் மக்களுக்கு எதிரே நின்று: நீங்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய கற்பனைகளை மீறுகிறது என்ன? இதனால் நீங்கள் செழிப்படையமாட்டீர்கள் என்று தேவன் சொல்லுகிறார்; நீங்கள் யெகோவாவை விட்டுவிட்டதால் அவர் உங்களைக் கைவிடுவார் என்றான்.

Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood up before the people and said to them, “This is what God says: ‘Why do you transgress the commandments of the LORD so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the LORD, He has forsaken you.’”
