அப்பொழுது அம்னோன் தாமாரைப் பார்த்து: நான் உன்னுடைய கையினாலே சாப்பிடும்படி, அந்தப் பலகாரத்தை என்னுடைய அறைக்கு கொண்டுவா என்றான்; அப்படியே தாமார் தான் செய்த பணியாரங்களை வீட்டின் அறையில் இருக்கிற தன்னுடைய சகோதரனான அம்னோனிடத்தில் கொண்டுபோனாள்.

Then Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the bedroom, so that I may eat it from your hand.” Tamar took the cakes she had made and went to her brother Amnon’s bedroom.
