மேலும் அப்சலோம் காலைதோறும் எழுந்து, பட்டணத்து வாசலுக்குப் போகிற வழி ஓரத்திலே நின்றுகொண்டு, யாராவது தன்னிடம் இருக்கிற வழக்குக்காக ராஜாவிடம் நியாயம் கேட்பதற்காகப் போகும்போது, அவனை அழைத்து, நீ எந்த ஊரைச் சேர்ந்தவன் என்று கேட்பான்; அவன் உமது அடியான் இஸ்ரவேல் கோத்திரங்களில் ஒன்றின், இந்த ஊரைச் சேர்ந்தவன் என்று சொன்னால்,
