இஸ்ரவேலர்களே, உதவிசெய்யுங்கள். நம்முடைய மக்களுக்கும் வேதப்பிரமாணத்திற்கும் இந்த இடத்திற்கும் எதிராக எல்லா இடத்திலும் எல்லோருக்கும் போதித்துவருகிறவன் இவன்தான்; இந்த தேவாலயத்திற்குள்ளே கிரேக்கரையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுவந்து, இந்த பரிசுத்த இடத்தைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தினான் என்று சத்தமிட்டார்கள்.

crying out, “Men of Israel, help us! This is the man who teaches everywhere against our people and against our law and against this place. Furthermore, he has brought Greeks into the temple and defiled this holy place.”
