தாங்கள் அறியாமலும் தங்களுக்கு ஒரு பலனும் அளிக்காமலும் இருக்கிற தெய்வங்களாகிய வேறே தெய்வங்களை வணங்கி, அவைகளைப் பணிந்துகொண்டதினாலே,

They went and served other gods, and they worshiped gods they had not known—gods that the LORD had not given to them.
