“ஒருவன் தன்னுடைய அடிமையின் கண்ணையோ தன்னுடைய அடிமைப்பெண்ணின் கண்ணையோ அடித்து அதைக் கெடுத்தால், அவனுடைய கண்ணுக்குப் பதிலாக அவனை விடுதலை செய்யவேண்டும்.

If a man strikes and blinds the eye of his manservant or maidservant, he must let the servant go free as compensation for the eye.
