தண்ணீரின் ஓரமாக வளருகிற எந்த மரங்களும் தங்களுடைய உயரத்தினாலே மேட்டிமை கொள்ளாமலும், தங்களுடைய கொப்புகளின் தழைக்குள்ளே தங்களுடைய நுனிக்கிளையை உயர வளரவிடாமலும், தண்ணீரைக் குடிக்கிற எந்த மரங்களும், தங்களுடைய உயரத்தினாலே தங்கள்மேல் நம்பிக்கைவைக்காமலும் இருக்கும்படி இப்படிச் செய்வேன்; மனிதகுமாரர்களின் நடுவே அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் குழியில் இறங்குகிறவர்களுடன் மரணத்திற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டு, பூமியின் தாழ்விடங்களில் போனார்கள்.

This happened so that no other trees by the waters would become great in height and set their tops among the clouds, and no other well-watered trees would reach them in height. For they have all been consigned to death, to the depths of the earth, among the mortals who descend to the Pit.’
