அப்பொழுது லோத்து புறப்பட்டு, தன் மகள்களைத் திருமணம் செய்யப்போகிற தன் மருமகன்களோடு பேசி: “நீங்கள் எழுந்து இந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்படுங்கள்; யெகோவா இந்தப் பட்டணத்தை அழிக்கப்போகிறார்” என்றான்; அவனுடைய மருமகன்களின் பார்வைக்கு அவன் கேலிசெய்வதைப் போலிருந்தது.

So Lot went out and spoke to the sons-in-law who were pledged in marriage to his daughters. “Get up,” he said. “Get out of this place, for the LORD is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.
