ஆகையால், நீ எனக்காவது, என் மகனுக்காவது, பேரனுக்காவது வஞ்சனை செய்யாமல், நான் உனக்குச் செய்த தயவின்படியே, நீ எனக்கும், நீ தங்கியிருக்கிற இந்தத் தேசத்திற்கும், தயவு செய்வேன் என்று இங்கே தேவன் பேரில் எனக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடு” என்றான்.

Now, therefore, swear to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or descendants. Show to me and to the country in which you reside the same kindness that I have shown to you.”
