மறுபடியும் அவள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு மகனைப் பெற்று: “நான் அற்பமாக எண்ணப்பட்டதைக் யெகோவா கேட்டருளி, இவனையும் எனக்குத் தந்தார்” என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு சிமியோன் என்று பெயரிட்டாள்.
