கோதுமை அறுப்பு நாட்களில் ரூபன் வயல்வெளிக்குப் போய், தூதாயீம் பழங்களைக் கண்டெடுத்து, அவைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்து தன் தாயாகிய லேயாளிடத்தில் கொடுத்தான். அப்பொழுது ராகேல் லேயாளை நோக்கி: “உன் மகனுடைய தூதாயீம் பழத்தில் எனக்குக் கொஞ்சம் தா” என்றாள்.
