தன் மகளாகிய தீனாளை அவன் தீட்டுப்படுத்தினதை யாக்கோபு கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவனுடைய மகன்கள் அவனுடைய மந்தையினிடத்தில் வயல்வெளியிலே இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் வரும்வரைக்கும் யாக்கோபு பேசாமலிருந்தான்.
