அவன் மதுபானத்தினால் அக்கிரமம்செய்து அகங்காரியாகி, வீட்டிலே தங்கியிருக்காமல், அவன் தன் ஆத்துமாவைப் பாதாளத்தைப்போல விரிவாக்கித் திருப்தியாகாமல், மரணத்திற்குச் சமமாகச் சகல தேசங்களையும் தன் வசமாகச் சேர்த்து, சகல மக்களையும் தன்னிடமாகக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டாலும்,

and wealth indeed betrays him. He is an arrogant man never at rest. He enlarges his appetite like Sheol, and like Death, he is never satisfied. He gathers all the nations to himself and collects all the peoples as his own.
