யெகோவா தேவன் என்பதற்கு அந்த பலிபீடம் நமக்குள்ளே சாட்சியாக இருக்கும் என்று சொல்லி, ரூபனுடைய வம்சத்தார்களும், காத்தின் வம்சத்தார்களும் அதற்கு ஏத் என்று பெயரிட்டார்கள்.
