அப்பொழுது யோசுவா மக்களை நோக்கி: யெகோவாவைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளும்படி நீங்கள் அவரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டதற்கு நீங்களே உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சிகள் என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நாங்களே சாட்சிகள் என்றார்கள்.
