யோசுவாவிடம் திரும்பிவந்து, அவனை நோக்கி: மக்கள் எல்லோரும் போகவேண்டியதில்லை; ஏறக்குறைய இரண்டாயிரம் மூவாயிரம்பேர் போய், ஆயீயை முறியடிக்கலாம்; எல்லா மக்களையும் அங்கே போகும்படி வருத்தப்படுத்தவேண்டியதில்லை; அவர்கள் கொஞ்சம்பேர்தான் என்றார்கள்.

On returning to Joshua, they reported, “There is no need to send all the people; two or three thousand men are enough to go up and attack Ai. Since the people of Ai are so few, you need not wear out all our people there.”
