இப்படி இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குத் தீமையானதைச் செய்து, தங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவை மறந்து, பாகால்களையும் தோப்பு விக்கிரகங்களையும் தொழுதுகொள்கிறபோது,

So the Israelites did evil in the sight of the LORD; they forgot the LORD their God and served the Baals and the Asherahs.
