அவர்கள் காயப்பட்டவர்களைப்போல பட்டணத்தின் வீதிகளிலே மயக்கநிலையில் கிடக்கும்போதும், தங்கள் தாய்களின் மடியிலே தங்கள் உயிரை விடும்போதும், தங்கள் தாய்களை நோக்கி: தானியமும் திராட்சைரசமும் எங்கே என்கிறார்கள்.

They cry out to their mothers: “Where is the grain and wine?” as they faint like the wounded in the streets of the city, as their lives fade away in the arms of their mothers.
