“ஒரு கன்றாவது செம்மறியாட்டுக்குட்டியாவது, வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியாவது பிறந்தால், அது ஏழுநாட்கள் தன் தாயினிடத்தில் இருப்பதாக; எட்டாம் நாள் முதல் அது யெகோவாவுக்குத் தகனபலியாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்படும்.

“When an ox, a sheep, or a goat is born, it must remain with its mother for seven days. From the eighth day on, it will be acceptable as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
