அப்பொழுது வழியருகே ஒரு அத்திமரத்தைப் பார்த்து, அதினிடத்திற்குப்போய், அதிலே இலைகளையன்றி வேறொன்றையும் காணாமல்: இனி ஒருபோதும் உன்னிடத்தில் கனி உண்டாகாதிருக்கக்கடவது என்றார்; உடனே அத்திமரம் பட்டுப்போனது.

Seeing a fig tree by the road, He went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. “May you never bear fruit again!” He said. And immediately the tree withered.
