மாயக்காரர்களாகிய வேதபண்டிதர்களே! பரிசேயர்களே! உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, மனிதர்கள் பிரவேசிக்கமுடியாதபடி பரலோகராஜ்யத்தைப் பூட்டிப்போடுகிறீர்கள்; நீங்கள் அதில் பிரவேசிக்கிறதுமில்லை, பிரவேசிக்கப்போகிறவர்களை பிரவேசிக்கவிடுகிறதுமில்லை.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let in those who wish to enter.
